The Approach

Shark Beauty came to Aisle Rocket looking to refresh their brand voice to speak to younger audiences and reflect the bold, disruptive direction of their newest products. They tasked us with developing a newsworthy brand activation concept to help launch their rebrand and new product lineup.

I was part of a small team of creatives at Aisle Rocket tasked with writing a new brand manifesto for Shark Beauty to help guide the messaging and advertising for their new brand voice as well as developing the brand activation that became known as the ‘Revenge Hair Salon.’

This salon featured a rotating carousel of stylists to accommodate any look and style of hair. Shoppers would walk in, explore the stylists and looks available, get their hair styled/cut/washed, and then step out into ready-to-go photo studio where they could show off their new look to the world. It reimagined the salon experience for a diverse audience with distinct hair styles and needs.

By demonstrating how the brand’s bold new persona could translate into a brand activation and marketing materials, we showed the team at Shark Beauty how they could disrupt the hair care marketplace.

The Results

While Shark Beauty ended up deciding not to proceed with the brand activation due to budgetary constraints, they were effusive with their praise for the work the team at Aisle Rocket did on the ‘Revenge Hair Salon’ concept.
